This occult religion had a mystery-god called by Plutarch “the hidden god”. De Iside et Osiride. Vol 2 p354. By others it is known as “the hidden system” and was worshipped under the name Saturn, which means ‘to lie hid’.
When this mystery religion was established in Rome, Italy became known as Saturnian Land, or the Land of Mystery. Saturn was also identified with Janus, the Grand Mediator and Opener and Shutter. And the high priests of paganism were invested with the keys of Janus and Cybele. (Matthew 16:19 is a foundation text of the Catholic Church)
In Hebrew-Chaldee, Saturn is spelled STVR, or STUR, the V and U being interchangeable. The letter N is left off, just as in our word Satur-day, which is Saturn’s day. When you look at the numerical value of the letters it adds up to the following:

Thus, STVR – 666 -- is ‘the hidden god’ of Babylonia, a mysterious, sacred deity, the hidden symbol of the first “beast” of Revelation 13.
In Hebrew-Chaldee, the word for sun and solar heat is Sorath. (Solar is a code word for the sun and light) It is frequently found written within the sun in medieval solar charms, with its Hebrew-Chaldee spelling SVRTH. This word also adds up to 666. (S – 60; V- 6; R – 200; TH – 400. In Hebrew the letter T and TH are the same)
In the zodiac, the name Taurus is the sun-bull god. In Hebrew it is spelt TVRS. These letters add up to 666. (T – 400; V- 6; R – 200; S – 60) Baalzephon and Amenoph from Egypt are the sun-serpent god, considered the universal ruler. Both add up to 666. (B-2; A-1; A-1; L-30; Z-7; E-5; PH-500; O-70; N-50 = 666) (A-1; M-40; E-5; N-50; O-70; PH-500=666)
“The Greeks and the Romans adopted the gods of Egypt, as Herodotus repeatedly points out. Among these importations was Osiris-Apis, the Egyptian sun-bull-serpent lord of hell. In combining the two names, the Greeks made it Oserapis or O Serapis, a word which also yields the number 666.” Trail of the Serpent p24. (O-70; S-200; E-5; R-100; A-1; P-80; I-10; S-200 = 666)
The serpent god of Tyre was named TSVR, giving the number 666. (T-400; S-60; V-6; R-200) The word Teitan was used to refer to “the 7 great gods” and to 12 gods (obviously the 7 planets and the 12 signs of the zodiac), who were the sons of Uranus, meaning “heaven”. Among Latin poets, Teitan was one of the names of the sun-god. (T-300; E-5; I-10; T-300; A-1; N-50 = 666)
A very prominent god was Lateinos, said to be the son of the sun-god Hercules and the great grandson of Saturn, who is the lord of hell. Lateinos was the cosmic ruler of the universe. The Latin nation and people took their name from Lateinos, just as the Persians took their name from Persica, a Persian name for the sun-god. Lateinos, the Latin Kingdom, adds up to 666. (L-30; A-1; T-300; E-5; I-10; N-50; O-70; S-200 = 666)
The number 36 was called Cosmos in the mysteries, and the summary number of 1–36 (666), is called “the Grand Number of the Sun”.
There is a relationship between the words Cosmos, Typhon, Pan and the Universe, the latter being from the Latin word catholica or catholicus.
The letters S, F, Z, V and U, can all be used to represent the serpent. They can be written SSS, FFF, ZZZ, VVV, UUU, and they all mean 666. Even YYY, as a Y represents the serpent’s tongue. They can also be written as W alone, as this is two V Vs, but when joined to make W, places an inverted third V between the two. They can also be written M, having the same explanation as for a W, but upsidedown.
“Hindus, Buddhists, and churchmen alike greatly revere the ‘mystic M’, especially the double MM, or ‘monogram of Mary’…. The mystery begins to deepen when we find the symbol M, widely used as a symbol for S ‘being but a sigma (Greek S) on its side’, and it deepens still more when we find that the double M monogram conceals AVM the sacred word connected with the rites of serpent worship among the Hindus, the Buddhists, the ancient Egyptians, and modern secret societies.
The Hindus place the letters AVM (AUM) in the serpent with his tail in his mouth, a symbol meaning, they tell us, the circuit of the zodiac, immortality or unending time and the union of the sexes. Gnostics placed SSS and other 6-letters in this same circular serpent. Gnostics, in their inscriptions, use A and V interchangeably, often failing to put the crossbar in the A. It appears that our A may be in its form little more than an inverted V, the symbol of the serpent.” Trail of the Serpent p61.62.
But all is not in the ancient past. Many groups today, such as rock stars, the New Age Movement, Lucis Trust, believe in the sacredness of 6 and 666.
The 6th sign of the zodiac is Virgo, and Alice Bailey, the founder of Lucis Trust, wrote that Virgo “has a triple symbol…. 6 on the physical plane, 6 on the emotional place, 6 on the mental plane…” Happy Birthday Planet Earth. In Bailey’s prayer ‘The Great Invocation’, she reveals that “the ‘Light’ or ‘Mind of God’ is the energy that radiates from ‘the heart of the Sun’, which is the inner point of life in man. It is from the Sun (God), she adds, that man receives spiritual ‘illumination’ and thus becomes a light bearer who, through service, ‘radiates the light’ (occult knowledge and power) outward.” Dark Majesty. Why would anyone use the signs and symbols of heathen religions?
They use it as a signal.
Murl Vance sums up one of his chapters with the following words, “We submit, therefore, that the numbers of the solar seal – 6, 36, 111 and 666 – used as sacred numbers of the sun-god -- the god of hoofs and horns – as the ruler of the universe and all its gods, we submit that these numbers apply in a peculiar and specific way to any religion which is based on astrology and claims universality.” Trail of the Serpent p106.107. (Emphasis in the book)
He is right. Any religion that knowingly uses heathen symbols is waving Satan’s flag.
“It is obvious, therefore, that 666 applies to “the beast”, that “old serpent, the Devil”, who took the sun as his chief image or idol. It is equally obvious that any individual who takes the titles, the insignia, the rituals, the holy days, and the sacred numbers of the sun-god is stamping upon his own head the number of the cosmic ruler, the lord of this world.” Trail of the Serpent p28.
Remember the words of Scripture, “Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast…” Revelation 13:18.
We have done as God instructed, and have found that the religion of Babylon has permeated Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, the Roman Catholic Church, and many other nations and religions of our day.
(If you look carefully, you can also see the number 666 hidden in secular advertising, such as banks, automotive, communication, finance, ‘holistic’ health, fashion, fast food, rock music. Satan is planning to capture the whole world and he will use anyone. Use of the number is very deceptive as the three sixes are not always next to each other; you have to search for them. At times there are various numbers that add up to 3 sixes. Or a 6 is not used, but instead a small ‘b’, or ‘k’. It can even be SVZ. Often there are sexual messages placed subliminally in movies, even in children’s programs. Satan is ingenious in hiding his symbols and numbers)
When the Christian church began, the apostolic message was a strange contrast to the elaborate system of the pagan mysteries. The apostles, foreseeing that paganism would corrupt the simplicity of the gospel, warned those in leadership. But little by little, despite these warnings, the church suffered a “falling away”, and paganism became completely established in the apostate church. 2 Thess 2:3.
To complete our study, we need to come back to the Roman Catholic -- universal -- Church. (The Anglican Church also uses the term ‘catholic’, as do a few other minor churches, but it is more than likely they do it in ignorance)
In Revelation 13, the papal head is the one that ruled for 42 months, however the chapter is centred beyond the healing of the “deadly wound”. Prophetically it says there will be a time when “all the world (will) wonder after the beast”. Revelation 13:3. (To wonder – be amazed, idolise, follow, obey)

Earlier we quoted the pope speaking of his authority as the Vicar of the Son of God. This title is incorporated into Canon Law of the Roman Catholic Church in the following Latin words. “Beatus Petrus in terris vicarius filii Dei videtur esse constitutus.” Decretum Gratiani, prima pars. dist 96.
Today many Catholic leaders deny that this is an official title of the pope, but they are simply trying to avoid being identified with “the beast” of Revelation 13. Others are honest and state the truth clearly. Dr J Quaston said, “The title Vicarius Filii Dei…. is very common as the title for the Pope.” Sacrosancta Concilia. Vol. 1 p1539-1541.1943. (This man was professor of ancient history and Christian archaeology at the School of Sacred Theology, a Catholic University of America in Washington DC.)
Sadly, this ‘hidden system’ of shame and apostasy is leaving its mark of corruption upon millions of men, women and children.
Do You Want to Know the Future?
No.19.
We have now reached the most compelling chapter in the book of Revelation. It is a book that relates to our immediate future; how soon it will be fulfilled, we do not know. All we can say is that the countdown has begun.
Let us begin immediately.
“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.” Revelation 13:1.
Immediately you will recognise some of these features – seven heads and ten horns, but this time there are ten crowns. This tells us that the ruling power is during the time of Europe, after the demise of pagan Rome.
Now look at the beast itself. “And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” Revelation 13:2.
Again, you will notice that this is a composite beast, made up of three animals – the body of a leopard, the feet of a bear and mouth of a lion. This tells us it is a combination of the first three animals of Daniel -- a lion, a bear, and a leopard, representing Babylon, Medo-Persia and Greece.
Instead of a single beast representing each kingdom, there is one beast composed of all three. The new beast has the speed of a leopard, the strength of a bear, and the voice of a lion.
It also has certain characteristics of Greece, Medo-Persia and Babylon.
Who gave this beast his power?
“…the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” Revelation 13:2.
We now know the dragon is Satan, so we can be clear that this beast is Satanic; his power is of the devil.
What is his seat?
Of course it doesn’t mean Satan gave him a chair. It is the seat or place of his power. The ‘seat’ of Australia is Canberra; of America, it is Washington; of Russia, Moscow; of England, London.
“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.” Revelation 13:5.
You will recognise this time period as 1260 days, or 1260 years. (42 x 30 = 1260 days, which becomes 1260 years, one prophetic day representing one literal year)
This shows us that the beast relates to the papacy. I am not saying the beast is the Papacy, but that it relates to it. There is a reason for this wording.
We know that the ‘seat’ given to the Roman Church by the devil was the city of Rome, for when Constantine moved the empire to Constantinople, the Papacy stepped into its place.
An article entitled, ‘Rome the Historic Seat of World Empire’ says, “Old Rome had a far longer and grander imperial tradition to show, and was identified in memory with the bloom of the empire; while New Rome marked the beginning of its decline. When the Western Empire fell into the hands of the barbarians, the Roman bishop was the only surviving heir of this imperial past, or, in the well-known dictum of Hobbes, ‘the ghost of the deceased Roman Empire, sitting down upon the grave thereof.’” History of the Christian Church Philip Schaff. DD Vol 111 p287. 1893.
Let us go back a few verses. “And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.” Revelation 13:3.
Notice that one of his heads was wounded to death. This means that the Papacy is represented by one of the heads on the beast. The prophecy is a combination of many powers, and only one head rules at a time.
During the 1260 years, the papal head ruled, and when General Berthier took the pope captive in 1798, it received a “deadly wound”.
When this took place, many in Europe imagined it would be the death of the Papacy. It was an appropriate impression, for the Bible had said one head would be “wounded to death”.
But the supposition proved to be wrong, as the prophecy also said, “his deadly wound was healed”. Revelation 13:3.
In March 1800, a new pope was elected, Pope Pius VII. His first transaction was a negotiation with the government of France, of which Napoleon Buonaparte was the First Consul, and in 1801, a concordat was issued that established the Roman Catholic religion in France. It also gave Pius his Italian principality.
But the wound was not left to heal.
Pius was assailed with one demand after another. He knew compliance would have involved the loss of his temporal power, and he was firm in his determination not to surrender.
However, Napoleon took possession of Rome with a large body of troops, and assumed the government of the papal territories. A decree was passed on May 17, 1809, formally annexing the remaining papal territories to the empire. After Napoleon’s abdication, Pius was at liberty to return to his territories, which he did in May, 1814.
Perhaps the wound could now heal, but no….
Judgment after judgment descended upon the church. In late 1848, law and order disappeared from Rome, and Pope Pius IX was guarded like a prisoner. Finally he had to flee to Gaeta in disguise, aided by the Bavarian ambassador Count Spaur.
A new constitutional assembly sat, which “deprived the Papacy of its worldly authority, established a Roman republic, and resolved to work for the union of Italy under a democratic-republican form of rule. A threat of excommunication from the pope was met with scorn by the popular union.” The Historians’ History of the World. edited by Henry Smith Williams. LL.D. Vol IX pp596.597. 1904.
The pope returned to Rome in April 1850, having been assured for his safety by Louis Napoleon, who surrounded him with a guard of his own soldiers.
Twenty years later, on July 18, 1870, Pius IX declared the dogma of papal infallibility. The very next day, July 19, a war broke out between France and Germany, and Louis Napoleon was defeated.
Again, the wound was re-opened.
Without Napoleon’s protection, the pope and his territories were vulnerable, and in September, after the French troops were recalled, Italian troops entered the walls of Rome.
In July the following year, the Italian capital was transferred to Rome, and “amid the acclamations of assembled thousands, Victor Emmanuel rode through the streets of the Eternal City.” Epochs of the Papacy. Rev Arthur R. Pennington. MA. FR. Historical Society. London. p472. 1881.
The Catholic Church was stripped of her lands, and Pius was left with only the Vatican. He confined himself within its walls for his remaining years. All succeeding popes refused to leave its precincts, protesting they were ‘prisoners of the Vatican’.
The wound could not heal without the papal lands, as temporal power is vital to the Papacy. Without it the church is powerless.
Fifty-nine years later, on February 11, 1929, a concordat was signed by Mussolini and Cardinal Gaspari, restoring the Papacy with part of Vatican lands.
A reporter who saw the signing of the concordat stated, “We are now witnessing the signing of this document. As the ink flows from these pens it is healing the wound of fifty-nine years.” Unfolding the Revelation. Roy A. Anderson p138. (1929 less 59 years = 1870. No doubt he was unaware of having used the words of Bible prophecy)
This concordat gave temporal power back to the pope, and once again he was king among the sovereigns of the earth.
Now the wound could heal.
The final part of the verse states, “and all the world wondered after the beast.” Revelation 13:3. As you look at the Catholic Church today, you see a power that is almost ready to fulfil its final act in earth’s history.
Malachi Martin wrote in his book ‘Vatican’ the following words, “ “In order” – Da Brescia moved quickly on – “to ensure that Our separated brothers retain no idea that We condemn and excommunicate them, We are renewing the true spirit of the Holy Office by changing its name”. Everyone, he said, could recall that its full name was the Supreme Holy Congregation of the Holy Office of the Universal Inquisition. All thought of the Inquisition must be a thing of the past. Henceforth, it would be known as the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. “There are no longer heretics and schismatics. There are only separate brothers”.” Vatican. Malachi Martin p363.364.
(Malachi Martin calls this book a novel, but apart from the story line and false names, the rest is fact, as can readily be seen by readers who know their history and the activities of the Catholic Church. A few weeks after finishing the book, I discovered an old audio tape by a Catholic priest speaking to his people about the effect of Vatican II upon the Catholic Church. While some of the second council dealt with winning Protestants back to Mother Church, it had an adverse effect on the Catholic Church itself. This talk confirmed much in Martin’s book.
It is also interesting that in the book ‘Keys of this Blood’, Malachi Martin said Pope John Paul II was willing to risk losing his church altogether by not dealing with its problems, and instead begin travelling the world, hoping that through this publicity of the Papal Office, he would achieve the end he desired. In the ‘Vatican’, Martin had a pope do this for the purpose of creating “a third force” in the world. I did not understand about the problems in the church until I read the ‘Vatican’, and now I understand that John Paul II was travelling the world to make certain the Papacy was indeed the third force to head the New World Order. Of course, since ‘Keys of this Blood’ was written, the challengers have been reduced to two – the Papacy and the United States – Russia having been downed by the Pope and the President. But then, its all publicity isn’t it!)
The Bible makes it clear how the world’s majority will view the Catholic Church. “… and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?” Revelation 13:4.
Do people think this today?
Not quite. Most certainly there were millions who idolised the pope during the 2009 Youth Day in Sydney, and other such world gatherings. And there are millions who see the Papacy as the greatest religious power in the world. Not only Catholics, but also Protestants.
However, the above text appears to be speaking of the power of the church in relationship to war. So we must wait and see what eventuates.
But there is something you must see. “And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast…” Revelation 13:4.
This is a terrible revelation.
Again, this text has not yet been fulfilled. Of course, there are many in this great congregation who are at this present time worshipping Satan. This cannot be denied. In fact, Catholic books make it clear that occult practices are being performed in the Vatican. (I picked up a little book some years ago in St Francis’ foyer, a Catholic Church in the centre of Melbourne, on the subject of black masses. It is called ‘The Fatima Crusader’. Issue No.54.1997)
At the end, when final decisions are being made, all who remain members of the Catholic Church, will be worshipping “the dragon”, which as you know is Satan. At the moment, God is calling men and women out of her communion. Soon the very last call will be given, just prior to the close of probation, and those who love the Lord Jesus will leave this church.
Do not think Protestants escape this condemnation. No, it will include all….
“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:8.
All…. except those whose names are in the Book of Life.
“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.” Revelation 13:5.6.
Dear Reader, it is very important you understand what God thinks of the papal head in this chapter, or as it is described in the book of Daniel as the little horn. It is not what the writer of these booklets thinks about it. It is not what you as the reader thinks. It is what God thinks and says.
And this is why the description is given over and over.
When we see the visible activities of the Catholic Church, its services, the pomp and ceremony, it is hard to believe it is so corrupt. But as I have said in previous booklets, it is not the people who worship in the churches, it is the system. As all systems and organisations are run by men and women, it is those at the top who know what they are doing.
The Bible says the Papacy would speak great words and blasphemies against God, His name, His sanctuary, and His holy angels. This is a big charge, but it is given by the God of the universe.
We will look again at some of these great words. I realise it is not easy, but we must be totally convinced, because in the future the devil will work miracles to try and convince us. He is already performing miracles by the apparitions of ‘Mary’ throughout the world. Millions visit these shrines seeking a miracle of healing. God may heal a few, but the devil is the great Deceiver. He is able to cast a spell upon a person and then remove it. Of course the credit goes to God or Mary, when it had nothing to do with them.
The following was issued from Rome in 1746, before the Papacy had lost its dominion.
However, it was repeated in 1899 by the Press of the Propaganda, which is prior to the concordat by Mussolini. (The title of the press seems rather strange, but it was the official publisher for Rome in those days. It is possible the word ‘propaganda’ had a different meaning, more like ‘promotion’ today) It was then included in the Catholic Encyclopedia by Ferraris, from which it was copied by a Protestant Source Book in 1927. (You may have read some before, but they are repeated here for a reason)
“The Pope is of so great dignity and so exalted that he is not a mere man, but as it were God, and the vicar of God…. The Pope is called most holy because he is rightfully presumed to be such… The Pope alone is deservedly called by the name ‘most holy’, because he alone is the vicar of Christ, who is the fountain and source and fulness of all holiness.
The Pope by reason of the excellence of his supreme dignity is called bishop of bishops… He is likewise bishop of the universal church. He is likewise the divine monarch and supreme emperor, and king of kings.
Hence the Pope is crowned with a triple crown, as king of heaven and of earth and of the lower regions….
The Pope is as it were God on earth, sole sovereign of the faithful of Christ, chief king of kings, having plenitude of power, to whom has been entrusted by the omnipotent God direction not only of the earthly but also of the heavenly kingdom.
The Pope is of so great authority and power that he can modify, explain, or interpret even divine laws.” Extracts form Ferraris’ Ecclesiastical Dictionary (RC) article on the Pope. Catholic Encyclopedia Vol VI art Ferraris p48. Source Book for Bible Students p309.410. 1927.
In September 1870, the Irish Church at Dublin celebrated papal infallibility with the following expressions. “The Pope is Christ in office, Christ in jurisdiction and power…. We bow down before thy voice, O Pius, as before the voice of Christ, the God of truth… in clinging to thee, we cling to Christ.” Studies in Church History. Henry C. Lea. p389. 1883.
These references speak for themselves, confirming the words of Scripture.
At this point we will go to the end of the chapter and read the last verse. “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred and threescore and six.” Revelation 13:18.
There is another beast in this chapter, but the above verse refers to the first beast we have been considering. (You will see this confirmed when we study the second beast)
God tells us that it is wisdom to “count the number of the beast”, and that it is “the number of a man”.
We know a beast represents a kingdom, and as we have studied in this booklet, the beast has seven heads representing successive kingdoms, one of which one is the Roman Catholic Church.
But note – the number of the beast is 666.
This is important for a full identification of the heads.
A head can only operate one at a time, and so we understand that they take their place on the stage of history one after another.
In chapter 12 we found that the appearance of the dragon is the same as the first beast of chapter 13, having seven heads and ten horns. (The amount of crowns differ, but these are not part of the animal) It was seen in heaven because it was representing Satan, a fallen angel; however, it operated on earth through its kingdom heads, at different times in history. (It is interesting that serpents with seven heads appear in the literature of pagan nations throughout the world)
Thus Revelation 12 has given us a background understanding that the first beast of Revelation 13 is the devil and Satan, the original Antichrist.
Remember that the composite “beast” of Revelation 13 has the mouth “of a lion”. It speaks like Babylon; especially its religion.
Let us go back in history.
“And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord… And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh in the land of Shinar.” Genesis 10:8-10.
So Babel was the first kingdom, and from it we have the word Babylon. (In Chaldean, ‘bab’ means the gate, and in Chaldean and Hebrew, ‘el’ means god. After the language dispersion, Babel came to mean Confusion)
Sadly, Ham and his descendants – Cush and Nimrod – were not followers of the faith of their father, grandfather and great grandfather Noah. It is known through the writings of history that these men became occultists, worshippers of Satan.
Historians of ancient religions show Cush to be foremost in the apostasy followed by his son Nimrod. Ham was also known in Egypt, in fact, Egypt is often called Ham.
As one reads through the pagan religions, many names seem to fulfil the same role. As first this is confusing, until you realise that the religion spread throughout the nations, and the same gods were given different names in the various languages.
Alexander Hislop wrote, “Ninus is said to have been the son of Belus or Bel, and Bel is said to have been the founder of Babylon. If Ninus was in reality the first king of Babylon, how could Belus or Bel, his father, be said to be the founder of it? Both might very well be, as will appear if we consider who was Bel, and what we can trace of his doings.
If Ninus was Nimrod, who was the historical Bel? He must have been Cush; for ‘Cush begat Nimrod’ (Gen 10:8); and Cush is generally represented as having been a ringleader in the great apostasy. But again, Cush, as the son of Ham, was Hermes or Mercury; for Hermes is just an Egyptian synonym for the ‘son of Ham’.
Now, Hermes was the great original prophet of idolatry; for he was recognised by the pagans as the author of their religious rites, and the interpreter of the gods. The distinguished Gesenius identifies him with the Babylonian Nebo, as the prophetic god; and a statement of Hyginus shows that he was known as the grand agent in that movement which produced the division of tongues.” Two Babylons p25.26.
This was a mystic religion based on nature worship, the sun and the moon being the prominent deities. Sun worship and serpent worship began side by side, the sun being hailed as the source of all physical life, the serpent as the source of all spiritual life. Nimrod’s wife Semiramus mystified the religion further, after her husband’s death.
It was also a religion of symbols and numbers, the ancients claiming that God worked by mathematics.
Murl Vance, who studied the mystery religions for many years, stated that “when we come to the number 6 we find ourselves involved in one of the greatest mysteries of the mysteries. It is a subject so large that an entire book could be written on it alone. From very early times the number 6 was dedicated to the deification of man and the worship of the serpent, possibly because both man and the serpent were created on the 6th day…. The number for 6 survived the confusion of the languages better perhaps than any other word in history.” Trail of the Serpent. p47.
He then shows the similarity of the word in many languages, and you will notice how the majority reflect the hissing of the snake. (Nazi soldiers were the SS)
- Chaldean -- SAS, but written SS. (The vowels were supplied many years later)
- Hebrew – SAS, written SS. (Until vowels were added)
- Greek – HEX (Silent ‘h’)
- Latin – SEX (Six and sex [phallicisim] are always related in paganism)
- Gothic – SATHS
- Old Saxon – SEHS
- German – SECHS
- Old Slavonic – SESTI
- Estonian – SHEST
- Portuguese – SZESC
- Spanish – SEIS (the Spanish siesta is the 6th hour nap)
- Italian – SEI (Italian for 60 is Sessanta; for sex SESSO)
(In Hebrew, the sixth letter of the alphabet is the VAV, which can be written VV, WW, WAW. Its numerical value is 6, and it represents a fork or a hook. The word VAV joins words together, in other words it is copulative. When we look up the root of copula in Webster’s Dictionary, we find it means ‘to join together’, ‘sexual union’, ‘coition’. False religions believe the first sin was sexual)
So six represents the serpent – ssssssssssixxxxxxxssssss.
In Greek the 6th letter is the stigma (V), which means ‘a blot, dot, top of a pole, mole on the skin, a mark’. (In many Greek alphabets, this letter is missing and the 7th letter zeta (z) is in its place. In the mysteries, zeta is used to stand for both 6 and 7, giving rise to the expression ‘at sixes and sevens’, a term meaning confusion).
There is a letter called a sigma (s), which stands for ‘s’, followed by a tau (t) for ‘t’, and if you put these together, you have the word ‘stigma’ (st or in capitals ST). To write 666 in Greek is c x V This is made up of the letters with the value c =600, x=60, V=6.
Now, what is the significance of this information?
The number that sums up all the gods of the Babylonian mysteries is built up from 6, the square of 6, and the summary of the numbers from 1 to 36. It is the repetition of 6 to form 6-6-6. This number is the trinity of pagan gods, the number of the serpent or 6 thrice. It is also the sun god and in occult worship, ritualistic sexual acts.
The number 666 is also added to produce the mystical sum of 9, that is 6 + 6 + 6 equals 18, and 1 + 8 equals 9. This is a sacred and magical number in its own right, but it also seen as an inverted 6, so 999 can represent 666.
One writer said of the Babylonians, “Their religion was a conglomeration of religion, astrology, alchemy, physical and mental science and mathematics.
Ancient astrology divided the starry heavens into 36 constellations. These were represented by different amulets called ‘Sigilla Solis’, or the sun seal. These amulets were worn by the pagan priests, and they claimed to be able to foretell future events. They were usually made of gold, yellow being the sun color.” Unfolding the Revelation. Roy A. Anderson p125.
Amulets were also worn as a protection by the god of each of the 36 constellations. In later years, jewellery made of the signs of the zodiac had this same purpose.

(On the front side of No.1 is the god of the sun standing on the lion. On the back is inscribed ‘Nachyel’, meaning ‘intelligence of the sun’, and in 36 squares are arranged the numerals 1 to 36 in such a way that adding the numbers of any column either horizontally or vertically, and also the two diagonals crossing the square, the total is the same – 111. This triple number is also sacred)
If you add these six columns together, either horizontally or vertically, you get 666. (6 x 111 = 666)
